Guiding Light OOC

Welcome to Guiding Light rp. This is just a new title along with alterations to what had happened in Legends RP. HOPEFULLY things don't trip over and we can keep this rp up now. DMs are Me and Shadowpaine. If there are questions either shoot them to me or shadowpaine and we will answer them. unless spoilers which we ain't answering. Warning this rp will not feature much of sex but more of darker themes like corruption, killing, murders, and even Death and more. If you're not a fan of these things then please consider when joining the rp.

The rp setting will be medieval so make sure your characters represent that. The rp will be continuing from a previous one where all chars are at a port town and a battle had just begun between the characters and the night fang a dark group that wishes to spread corruption along the land. The kingdom the characters are at is just one and will mostly consist of that one kingdom. The beginning will be the characters now relaxing after the fight with dead night fang enemies around.

The rp will give quests and more to characters as the story progresses.

1. Do not make a god tier character we will not accept anyone who uses those.
2. Please remain in character as much as possible in the rp and do not break character or major scenes with your character doing something out of place like if a king is talking do not interrupt them or try to attack them. Players will suffer extreme punishments. AKA no godmodding.
3. This rp is about teamwork and working together with others. Helping each other out will be very good for you and the others around you.
4. Please respect other players and their character choices.
5. Please communicate if you want a character to speak with another character to prevent confusion.
6. Finally just have fun and enjoy the rp if you just follow these simple rolls.

Stats:

HP: How much your character has in health and if your character reaches 0 they are ko'd. If strike again after hitting 0 things will be much worse for KO'd character.
Stamina: how much your character can act, attack, and use physical skills.
Mana: how much your character can cast spells and other magic items.
Corruption: how much the corruption has gotten to your character. (for now all players are at 0)
Strength: how much your character deals in physical damage.
Intelligence/magic: how smart and magical your character is.
Constitution(END): How much damage your character can take.
Dexterity: How well your character is with ranged weapons and unique melee weapons.
Willpower: How resistant to the temptation of Corruption and mind control spells (and such) your character is.

corruption is the force of evil energy brought through by the dark god and his acolytes
the more a person is affecred by corruption the more they are inclined to do evil acts or become a follower of the dark god. There are ways to get rid of it as corruption will decay naturally but you can speed it up by doing good deeds or purifying yourself at a temple. If corruption is at max people will not trust you and guards may attack you.

Battles will be handled in FE style with characters moving and attacking like FE just no restriction to movement (at this time). Relationships with allies will affect how well allies can work together and fight as a team.
Relationships: Characters can form bonds with one another through converstation and befriending one another. In a public spreadsheet that will be shown later on once its ready will show everyone has a relationship value of 1-10. Characters with bonds of 6-8 will give a stat boost to allies while those with 9-10 can combo attack together for a stronger attack. 1-5 will have no effect. You can't just jump from 5 to 10 in one conversation. Talking between one another must have impact for the relationship values to increases or decrease. Remember not everyone is gonna get along right away no matter what.

Please make sure to read all this info before making a character sheet each one is very important. We are only allowing 2 Characters per player.

4 skills that use up your mana and stamina or have a unique use. Also please describe how the attack works and what is the action of it.

2 Abilities that improve your character like better jumping.
2 disadvantages that weaken your character like a weakness to fire.
(Examples are= Ability: Bodybuilder - Your epic diamond muscles gives you extra resistance against physical attacks (+10 END.)
Weakness: Fragile body - your body is weaker and takes extra damage from melee attacks (-5 END).)
New section: Personal Quests (PQ for short) will be a quest that involves your character in their own plot driven story that will allow you to add more to their stories, and possibly get new skills or changes in their character sheet.
What we need:
A plot for your character
A place to start the quest: like during the beginning or how soon you would like the quest to be or later.
Requirements to start quest: like they needed to be hurt badly from a battle or visit a certain town. nothing major or just no requirements. (this is more for personal tastes)
Rewards: what your character's PQ will give them. This can go as far as to give characters new skills, new gear or new strengths and weaknesses or even take away a weakness.
That's all for PQs so make sure to think about them and if you have questions or submit one to me or shadow send one to us through a pm so we can approve or ask for changes.

We are trusting YOU guys to put in your own values when characters interact and do something good or bad. If we see people trying to take advantage of the sheet we will take away control and do it ourselves. You will also find this under my signature in my posts so you can get to that as well.

to Lykan you post your character sheet in the ooc it's right there in the ooc post right above character sheet example.

to Cox yes you can and anyone else wondering you can revamp your character here to work out in the new rp. since the new rp will be kinda starting off from what we started in legends.

you start with a base of 5

you can spend 15 points how you see fit... max you can have is 20 in 1 stat

Name: Caim-Rodavin
Race: Lizard Anthro
Gender: Male
Age: 26

Alignment: Good
Sexuality: Bisexual leaning towards men
Body type: Lean, no muscular tone, lots of scales.
Back-story: Caim grew up in the small town of Lavos with many other Lizard anthros, it had hit a low point in its coffers due to their mines running out of ore. Business died quickly in the town being the ore had stopped being shipped out, this also caused a dwindle in Lavos on trading other goods like weapons and clothing for food and coin. He grew up with just a father in his household, who worked most days at the fetcher booth, this is where Caim picked up his ability to use bows, playing with some of the rejects that his father could not sell. As he grew older he started to work along side his father crafting bows as well, learning the craft of being a fetcher. This took away his free time, but it also gave him a good view as to how bows worked. Once he had reached around 16 his father had fallen ill, and the town had mostly fallen to complete poverty with no food or money coming in, Caim's fetcher booth had also closed due to not enough income coming in. Caim's fathers last words were, about his mother, one who Caim had never had the chance to meet. He spoke of her still being alive, of her having the ability to summon weapons out of thin air. His mother had left them when he was very little, so he knew very little about her.Once his father passed Caim realized that his fathers words could have been a last moment of illusion. Days after he had looked at his right hand and saw a slight blue glow this was the moment he realized his father hadn't lost his mind, his mother truly had magic. He used his craft to create himself a new bow one that would work, one that he knew wouldn't break. He trained for six years, with his archery and learning how to use his magic, slowly being able to control both with a fine finesse. As he finished his training the town was pretty much empty many of the others having left due to large lacks of food and coin or having passed, leaving Caim in the village alone. Caim never had many friends but the few he did have, had left with their families, needing to find jobs so that they could continue to live. His lose of friends and disconnection with society lead to him losing his common courtesies, it also made him have a hard time getting what he wanted across to others. He to decided to leave the desolate village as well, due to his own food supply running short. He knew he needed to find a new way of living using his new skills to hunt and help others so that he too could survive. Two years had passed since then, and it seems his adventure still has yet to finish..... though his past has been forgotten.

After joining the group for the battle against the nightfang he fought with them in a few battles until he was what was understood as being fatally wounded and sent to the infirmary in the city where he was later presumed dead due to false information. He woke up in the infirmary meet with the one named Lilly telling him a bit of what he had been doing with his life before ending up there. He had no recollection of his past and took her on her word slowly trusting her. He relearned the basics of how to use his bow, but other than that he felt like real combat was needed. He went with Lilly to where the group was and that is where his adventure continues.

Personality: Caim is pretty reserved, but if given the chance he will shed his egg and become friends with almost anyone. He isn't quick witted, and wouldn't call himself rude, though even the best of people when tempted enough can have outbursts. When around complete strangers his personality can almost seem bipolar going from reserved to friendly right back to reserved, sometimes its hard to tell what kind of person your going to get from Caim.

Bow having carvings of the animal lizards all over it. The ends have minor steel points for worst case scenarios.(strapped over his right shoulder),
quiver of blue steel tipped arrows (on his right outer thigh.)

Skills:
1: Homing arrow: Caim focuses his inner magic into his finger tips imbuing the arrow with the ability to follow a target, making it more likely to hit. (20 Mana)

2: Arrow storm: Caim focuses his magic into the air making a arrow out of complete magical energy, anchoring it onto his bow and aiming towards the air, once released it will travel above the enemy he is focused on and rain arrows in the surrounding area and on-top of the enemy. (AoE attack) (35 Mana)

3: Strong anchor: Caim uses all of his strength to pull his drawstring back releasing the arrow with extra speed and strength giving it the ability to pierce through at-least two enemies. (20 Stamina)

4: Healing bolt: Caim focuses his love into a magic bolt, creating an arrow made of magic imbuing it with the ability to heal, releasing it at an ally to heal minor scraps and bruises. (40 mana)

Advantages:
Hard scales - His scales have hardened due to age giving him a slight resistance to physical attacks. (+5 to END.)

Quick footed - He has trained himself into being able to be quick on his feet and have a higher chance of dodging attacks. (+3 to Dex.)

Disadvantages:
Untrained muscles - Due to his lack of physically working out, his arm muscles are not as toned as the rest of him. (-2 to Str.)

Easily confused - Caim is pretty easily taken off of track and confused, making it easier for him to be controlled. (- 4 to Will.)

Back-story: Grey's father was a dark mage and his mother was a light mage. Their clans were extremely hostile towards each other and thus the love between both of them was strictly forbidden. When Grey's mother became pregnant she and Grey's father had to flee into exile without being noticed, otherwise they would have been sentenced to death. They started a new life in a village of merchants and after he was born, Grey lived a pretty normal life, except for the fact that he was gifted with both kinds of magic. His parents taught him the basics of both kinds of magic. That was until one day members of both clans found Grey and his family and set his house ablaze. Grey was able to flee, but this day he lost his parents. Along the stuff he was able to save from the fire there was a book which turned out to be an encyclopedia his father had started but was never able to finish. Grey decided to finish it in order to honor his father and thus he set out to travel the lands.

Personality: Grey is normally shy and introverted. Because he had problems meeting new people, he adopted an overly cheerful and outgoing attitude. However, since this isn't his real personality, it can be quite easy to see right through his facade.

Abilities:
Mana-sensitive: Able to feel the presence of large concentrations of Mana.
Cool-minded: Able to make split-second decisions when in a pinch.

Disadvantages:
Light-Dark-Cancellation: Cannot switch between Light and Dark magic right away due to both of them cancelling each other out. Has to revoke all Orbs and has to wait at least 1 turn between the use of Light and Dark magic.
Scatterbrain: Often loses things and forgets what he wanted to do a few moments prior.
